Chris Clarke

Chef Instructor — Kids Programs

Born and raised in a tiny village in upstate New York, Chris is a culinary veteran with over 30 years of experience working in restaurants, catering, the natural foods industry, and as a culinary educator. Now, Chris finds herself to be a 53-year old, mostly vegan, dedicated devourer who prefers street food to a typical white linen fine dining experience. She spent a year traveling and eating around the world to better understand food.  She was a winner of  “Denver’s Best Home Chef” contest, appeared as a guest chef on several morning programs and once competed on an obscure Food Network trivia game show, where she came in second and won a year's supply of Jordan Almonds and Junior Mints.

After selling most of what she owned and traveling the world for a year, she decided to write a book about what she ate and where she went. Chris started at Food Lab in June of 2020 and loves teaching the kids classes.
