Maker's Class; The Heart of the Culinary World- Tuesday's September 11th- October 30th 4pm-5:30pm

We are so excited to debut this class! We will drop most recipes and really get into how and why things are made. We will have one class meet at Cure Farm to see how our food is grown and harvested and talk to the farmers. We will learn to make cheese and mill flour and make bread! We are building the exact class, but below is an outline of what we expect to be happening in this course.  Guest speakers to be announced.

Ages 8 and up.

  • Week 1: Intro and Cheese Making
  • Week 2: Farming and Harvesting at Cure Farm (Off site class)
  • Week 3: Chocolate, learning the secrets of the cocoa bean
  • Week 4: Preservation and Fermentation
  • Week 5: Animal Butchery
  • Week 6: The Heart of Vegetables
  • Week 7: Bread Making
  • Week 8: Family and Friend Class
